The Goodnows
Isaac Tichenor Goodnow and Ellen Denison Goodnow settled in Kansas Territory in 1855. They represented some of the earliest settlers in the area and their lasting contributions can be found throughout the community today. The Goodnow's house, originally built in 1861, still stands today at 2301 Claflin Road in Manhattan, Kansas as the Goodnow House State Historical Site.
